Public First prioritizes issues including safeguards for children, workers, and the public, strengthening US export controls on advanced semiconductors, transparency for leading AI labs, and mitigating major AI risks. Public First strongly supports the work of state and local legislatures to address emerging AI issues and opposes federal efforts to freeze state progress without adequate federal safeguards.
